Wow. So here I am. 36 weeks. Crazy.
He kicks and punches, rolls and kicks, and I'm not sick of it. Not one bit. People told me I'd get sick of it, that the novelty would wear off... but it hasn't. I love each and every movement, even when they are uncomfortable, I still love it.
I'm off work already because of elevated blood pressure. I never actually creeped into PIH territory, but it was a close call. I seem to be doing better now, which just seems obvious now that I don't have to deal with any BS at work and can take naps anytime I want. We thought for sure my PIH would turn into pre-E, and my midwives doubted I'd make it full term... we were just hoping for 35 weeks. But with no PIH after weeks of monitoring the pre-E seems much less of a certainty and now I'll probably go overdue!
The shower was great, we've got loads of stuff now, and I've bought just about everything else we need to make it through the first couple weeks. I haven't unpacked any of it yet. It's still sitting together in the dining room waiting for... I dunno. Waiting for me to realize that it's not all going back to the store, and I'm actually going to need it. We should also probably set up the nursery. Just a thought...
The hospital bags are about 90% packed. I've just got to wash his coming home outfit and some other things for him to wear. I can't make other people understand why doing a load of baby laundry is so hard... it just is.
I'll have to remember to take a belly picture for you. You aren't going to believe it!
